It’s getting close to that time of year again, Halloween. I was just walking through the local grocery store and saw pumpkins sitting outside and it took me back for a second, fall already? But that happens every year!  Funny Halloween Costumes For Women

Fall in general is one of my favorite seasons, you have the smell of pumpkin pie in the air, the bottomless pit of candy spread generously throughout the house and of course Halloween parties.

First, pumpkin pie. Mmmmm, I can taste it already. Growing up my mom always made pumpkin pie just for me, my other siblings couldn’t stand it and that was just fine for me. Being the youngest of 5 meant that there was just enough food for everyone to get their fill and that was it. So when I was given the option of having an entire pie to myself you know that I took full advantage of it. I would wait until the pumpkin pie was cold (my favorite way to eat it) and grab a fork and that’s right, just dig right in. Why cut it into pieces when you do not have to share it. I would grab the pie, take a fork and disappear into my room and slowly eat myself into a pumpkin pie coma! Ahh the memories.

Let’s talk about why every little kid loves Halloween, the candy. The candy is what it is all about. Running all over town hoping with each house you went up to that you would get that favorite piece of candy and not toothpaste that your dentist neighbor was handing out or salted peanuts that the old people seemed to love to give. No, that’s not why I came up to your house, I appreciate the offer but I must refuse. Well, maybe I didn’t say that but I wanted to! Then there is that one house everyone always remembers going to, that one house where they gave the BEST treats. For me that house was at the end of the neighbor and it was always worth the walk since they gave out king size candy bars and cans of pop. Here is a secret though that kept all to myself when I used to go trick or treating. Go to the best house last, trust me. The best house will not run out of candy, if they do that means you have not found the true “best” house in your neighborhood. But if you go to them last, at the end of the night, they will unload a ton of candy to you. They don’t want it and there is no one to give it to, so stand tall, bring a huge pillow case and have someone help you carry it home! Most of you are adults but if you have kids you know what to do now.

And for us adults, what do we do? That’s right Halloween parties! You will always seem the same type of people at the parties, nurses and witches. Why not shake things up a bit and check out some of these funny Halloween costumes for women.

After talking about all of this I am now in the mood to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas for some reason.
